• Artist's Corner (Photoshop/Painter Help and Advice)

  You have questions about how to do something in Adobe Photoshop or Corel Painter? Or need advice on where to go for some great tutorials or just searching for some new Photoshop brushes? Olga, self taught in both Photoshop and Painter, has spend many years using both applications for creating her own personal art. She is very excited about sharing her experiences with the community through upcoming news articles.

  Differentiating between dolls, based on: editions, variants (make-up colors, hair colors, head moulds, short torsos, ball-jointed wrists and pear-shaped, round and flat bottom mould differences), location and year markings, etc. Liz will be happy to help with your Jem doll body identification issues.

  Absolutely anything to do with either: Rachael can offer advice on sewing, pattern making, hair re-rooting, face painting and making and moulding accessories, etc. Just ask and you're guaranteed a detailed and informative response.

• Doll Rescue (Restoration)

  You have a new doll but she's a mess, what do you do? Sean has spent quite a bit of time restoring, rescuing and rehabilitating dolls into show pieces for his own collection, and over time has come to share his techniques and tricks with the community. Sean has had great success in restoring doll's bodies, faces and particularly hair using products found in ordinary stores. He's very excited about his latest discovery of repairing dolls with broken waists!

• DVD Help and Advice

  Liz is experienced in standard administrative procedures, editing, writing, organizational structure, volunteer work, general history of JemCon, administrative perspectives, philosophies, and procedural history of JemCon; etc.

  Got a question about a character, scene or plot from one of the Jem episodes? Ask Brian! Well, it's safe to say you can pretty much ask any one of the JemCon staff about the Jem cartoon and you'll get an accurate and informed response, but Brian always seems to have that extra bit of insight that may prove extra useful.
  Bob is also on hand to answer Jem song related questions, such as "which Jem song has the line ....?" or "which episodes did x song appear in?". She has made karaoke and instrumental mp3 tracks of all the songs from the official 2004 Rhino DVDs and she has painstakingly prepared a complete booklet of song lyrics for our JemCon Karaoke, so she's got Jem songs coming out of (and frequently going into) her ears!

• Facts and Figures

  Brian is our facts and figures man. He's the person most likely to know a Jem product batch number or the where's, why's and how's of Hasbro/Sunbow involvement with the official Jem product line and production run as well as the proposed future Jem releases that never hit the shelves.

• Miscellaneous Knock-offs: Dolls / Fashions / Playsets

  Liz can offer expertise in the following areas:
  • Jem-sized knock-off outfits and playsets: manufacturers, lines, identifications, details about them and values.
  • Other 80s rock star doll knock-offs: as above, but 11½" scale.
  • Maxie/Barbie and the Rockers/Barbie and the Sensations/Jazzie: identification, information about the line, fine details of fashions and accessories.

• Produced Jem Dolls and Fashion Identification

  Are you not sure if your blue haired doll is Aja or Stormer? Do you want to know what fashion those yellow tights belong to? If so, feel free to contact Shevona. She has cataloged and photographed the entire produced Jem doll and fashion collection. Shevona is happy to help any collector, new or seasoned. Just ask!

• Shoe Identification

  Liz can offer details of Jem shoe identification, variants, knock-off Jem shoes and other shoes that fit Jem dolls.

• Variant Advice

  Ask Liz about picky variants in the Jem line: glasses, jewelry, instruments, playsets and garment variants, etc.

• Website Design / Tools / Utilities and Messageboard Technicalities

  Bob is experienced in HTML and CSS and has also dabbled in PHP and Javascript. She has a vast knowledge of free utilities and scripts that suit many requirements and add a zing to most websites. Bob should also be primary contact for any technical difficulties relating to the messageboard, although, password problems can be tackled by Shevona (shevonabmx) and Sean (svgbaritone) too.
