DESIGNATED CHARITY :: JEMCON 2012
- Also see volunteering to help JemCon
Each year, JemCon raises money for a local charity that embodies the ideals set forth by the Jem™ animated series.
How does JemCon raise money for charity?
We raise money in the months running up to the convention in a number of ways, but the main fund-raising event is the charity auction, held during the weekend of the convention itself.
- JemCon staff and visitors alike, generously donate Jem™ and other 80s related goodies to the open charity auction, the proceeds of which all go to the chosen charity.
- The sale of the winning JemCon fashion (via the registration package and charity auction) also provides a generous wedge of cash that contributes to our charity donation.
- Other activites also include an online auction, which takes place a few weeks before the convention. Fans who are unable to attend JemCon in person can raise funds for the charity by selling their extra Jem™ pieces on behalf of JemCon.
Remember, no donation or gesture is too small. We are greatful for any trinkets or loose change you can spare and it will make a big difference to the people who need our help.
Thank you
We thank the past generosity of previous JemCon followers and hope that this year's fund-raising continues the success with your continued support.
