JEMCON FASHION :: JEMCON 2010
One of the unique features of JemCon is the limited edition fashion produced for each convention, from a winning design chosen from entries
submitted in the annual JemCon Fashion Design Contest.
Each fashion is designed and crafted to fit a 12½" fully-poseable fashion doll, and designed by a Jem™ fan specifically
for the convention!
All money raised by the sale of the produced fashion (via the registration package and charity auction held during
the weekend of the convention itself) will be donated to our designated charity, so this fun contest really is
for a very good cause.
This year's fashion will once again be made by the extremely talented and wonderful Rachael
(Jemgirl). The fashion will include a custom pair
of Jem pumps; the color of which can be chosen by the designers in their submissions.
When is the JemCon 2010 Fashion Design Contest?
The main fashion design contest (for designers aged 16 years and over) closed on December 1st 2009 and went to the public vote on December 4th 2009.
What is the theme for this year's fashion design contests?
The theme this year for both the JemCon 2010 Fashion Design Contest and the JemCon 2010 "Starlight Girls" Fashion Design Contest is "Set Your Sails for New England". We're asking designers to add an element of sea-breezy adventure and elegant simplicity,
that reflects this tropical theme.
And the winner is...
The winning design was announced on January 3rd, 2010. It was an extremely close contest but from the 10 finalists, Eugene Ocasio's entry crept ahead of the
competition with only a few hours left to vote.

What is the theme for this year's fashion design contests?
The theme this year for the JemCon 2010 "Starlight Girls" Fashion Design Contest is "Set Your Sails for New England".
We're asking our young designers to add an element of sea-breezy adventure and elegant simplicity,

And the winner is...
The winning design was announced on March 1st, 2010. There were 38 wonderful entries but the overall winner was this 80s inspired sporty look by Alana R.
Alana will receive a fabulous prize-fund, very similar to the one our 2009 winner received last year. Please see

JemCon 2010 is happy to announce the official Silver 25th Anniversary Fashion Design Contest, which is open from May 11th to August 31st, 2010.
This only comes around once, so here's your chance to design a truly glamorous and unique masterpiece befitting of our favourite 80s rock princess, Jem.
Special Guest Judge
To emphasise the excitement of this special one-off contest, the winner will be chosen by JemCon 2010
special guest, and speaking voice of Jem/Jerrica herself, Samantha Newark!
Imagine the honor of Jem choosing your design for that special award ceremony or latest hit performance.
We'll leave the details to you, but our only stipulation is that your design is the most dazzling and elegant it can be and
incorporate the Silver 25th Anniversary theme.
What's the prize?
The winner will have their design produced in limited numbers as a special custom boxed fashion, sewn by
svgbaritone, with boxart
produced by Amjara.
The winning design will also have the honor of being the official Silver 25th Anniversary
JemCon Fashion! On top of that, the winner's original artwork will be signed by Samantha Newark and framed as a souvenir,
and they'll also receive their design printed on a one-off winners T-shirt, a JemCon goodie bag and also a $25 gift card for
beyondjem.com.
Limited quantities of the produced Silver 25th Anniversary Fashion will be available for sale through JemCon later in the year,
with one special reserve to be sold at the charity auction during the convention weekend in September.
